Aircraft Guys Events | Corporate Aviation Marketing and Charity Fund Raising

Frequently Asked Questions

A corporate event is a commercial for profit event. Sponsorship fees and ticket sale proceeds go to the promoter or event organizer. Generally a charity event is just that, to benefit a charity (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation).

Yes, depending on the event, a corporate sponsor can be an exhibitor. Although these are event venue driven. As an example, an indoor banquet hall gala would not have room for exhibition booths or automobiles. However, we do try utilize aircraft hangars whenever possible to allow plenty of space for exhibitors.

The cost of being a sponsor of an Aircraft Guys event varies depending upon level of sponsorship and event. On the higher end a Platinum/Gold sponsorship typically is $25,000 but can be lower depending on time of year, venue, nature of event, etc. On the lower end, basic sponsorships can be as low as $100 but typically are $500.

As the highest tier of event sponsorship, all signage and promotion material will predominantly display that sponsor. Additionally, a block of premium tickets to the event are provided. If the event is for charity or part of our 2 for 1 promotion, the sponsor's logo and name will be displayed on the charity's website and social media. Many other benefits are included with this type of sponsorship, that go beyond the event itself, including free premium digital marketing of the sponsor. Our award winning sister company, Blue Island Digital, does marketing for some of the largest corporations in the world. This alone is valued at $25,000. In essence, when considered that way, the sponsorship is free.

The Aircraft Guys offer an industry first, 2 for 1 promotion, meaning be a sponsor for one event and automatically become a sponsor for two. Some call this a BOGO (buy one get one). The two events will be one corporate and one charity.

To become a sponsor of an Aircraft Guys event, an agreement, outlining the deliverables, is executed which requires 50% of the pledged sponsorship. The balance will be due approximately 30 days before the date of the event.

To become a exhibitor at an Aircraft Guys event, an agreement, outlining the deliverables, is executed which requires a 50% refundable deposit. The balance along with applicable sales tax is billed approximately 30 days before the date of the event.

The Aircraft Guys are promoters and event organizers. We do not act as an agent for the charity. Corporate sponsors are not permitted to take a charitable contribution but can treat as a business expense. The charity may provide marketing promotions of the sponsor based on the program of a specific event. In exchange, a donation is provided on behalf of the sponsor. All ticket sales are donations directly to the charity and are tax deductible provided the donor is an individual.

Perhaps the #1 question we get asked. There two answers. If you would like the Aircraft Guys to assist you with an event you are managing, we will work on a $150 per hour basis. There is an initial $2,500 retainer required. If you would like us to organize and manage the event, generally there is no out of pocket cost as we will receive our fees from the sponsorship fees and ticket sales. Another very popular question. Generally, yes. Tickets are made available through platforms such as Eventbrite. However, private jet owner, specific charity gala award events, are invitation only. Tickets to these events are sold privately.
